Everyone has to workout and everyone on some level hates it even if they are marathon runners. If it is nice weather the boy and I will be found outside going for a walk or doing some chore around the ranch. During cold weather however I breakout my workout dvds to get my exercise in. Luckily I got four new ones for Christmas so hopefully I won't be getting bored with them anytime soon. Besides boredom being one of my workout hang ups I prefer to have someone to workout with. I don't want the person to talk to me because I want to put my full concentration into what ever it is I'm doing, I just want them standing there next to me suffering with me in silence. I only have two choices for a workout partner and let's just say that My Cowboy very rarely volunteers for this job so that just leaves My Little Gremlin. MLG actually likes it when I workout. Most of the moves I do amuse him and every now and then I get a laugh.
Before I workout I have to get my workout clothes and t-shoes on. Before MLG works out he has to get his hair done.
After he has his headband on the 80's rocker goes and gets his workout partner.
MLG usually makes it through the warm-up copying some of my moves but he quickly fades and hits the showers.
Or the couch in this case.

A couple of months ago "M" and "G", My Cowboys parents, came up for a visit. When they came up they brought with them My Cowboy's old rocking horse that he had when he was My Little Gremlin's age. MLG liked looking at the horse but wasn't too sure of what it did. We showed him how to get on and off of it a couple of times but he didn't show any real interest in riding. Each day he would walk by and act like he was petting the horse or play with the tail hair but he would never ride.
A month later while we were all sitting in the living room watching some TV he walked up to the rocking horse, threw one leg over, grabbed the handle bar with both hands and went to rocking as if he had done it a thousand times before. My Cowboy and I looked at each other in surprise.
Sometimes he really gets after it and I think he is going to flip the thing over.
He really loves his rocking horse now and rides it every day. Thanks "M" and "G" for keeping it around and sharing it with us.

Another Halloween has come and gone and while My Little Gremlin didn't go door to door to do any traditional "Trick or Treating", because lets face it he only has eight teeth and doesn't eat candy, he did get dressed up and we did our own version of tricks and handing out treats.
I put MLG's costume on, loaded him up in his wagon, and we headed down the dirt road. He was a bug.
Our first visitors were the chickens.
He just wanted his picture taken with them but apparently the chickens didn't like the fact that there was a bug bigger than them so they got out of there pretty quickly even after trying to entice them to get in the picture with a little fancy scratch. Oh well.
After giving the chickens their treat we loaded back up and headed back up the road to see who else we could visit.
It didn't take long for the bulls to catch the sound of the wagon wheels hitting the bumps in the road before they came meandering along to see if we had anything good to give them.
They quickly decided that we didn't have anything good for them and passed us up when they saw My Cowboy putting a hay bale out for them, their treat.
After the bulls had passed we continued up the road and were greeted by the horse.
Rusty was happy to see us because we did have a treat for him, a nice juicy carrot.
By the time we had made all the rounds with the animals MLG was ready to get out of the wagon and his costume and do a little playing with his pumpkin pal.
This is his pal.
MLG loves this thing. He wags it around with him like it is his best friend. I wish I could say that I was the creative one that painted the face and glued the hair on but I am not. As you can tell his pumpkin pal has been through a lot. The face is starting to come off and there are several gashes on the sides and bottom but none the less he doesn't care.
It was finally time for me to get my chores done so My Cowboy loaded MLG and his pumpkin back up in the wagon and took them for a ride to visit the goats.
MLG's favorite saying right now is "uh oh" and he really gets into the "oh" part when something gets thrown down or dropped as he demonstrated here by throwing his pumpkin down.
When he did this the pumpkin caught Meg's eye so she came to check it out.
Luckily she doesn't like pumpkin so MLG's pal was safe for now.
After a while he got tired of being in the wagon so Da let him out to run around a bit.
He quickly discovered that one of the chickens who wouldn't play with him earlier was near by so he made another attempt to sneak up to it but this time as him self and not as a bug.
He wasn't very subtle about his approach and the chicken quickly made a u-turn and went in the opposite direction.
By the end of the day MLG called it an early night.
He feel asleep on the couch with Da watching TV with his clothes still on and his hand in his cookie bowl. Trick or treating, pumpkin throwing, and chasing chickens is a tough job but someone has to do it.
